The Eternal Garden
A downloadable game
The Eternal Garden is a solo micro-rpg about possibility, loss and transformation.
You are one of many who tend the garden at the end of Time. Each plants their seeds, watches some bloom and some wither, then becomes soil to nourish what follows.
This is contemplative play about tending something larger than yourself. When you plant your last seed, you return to soil. The garden endures.
A game takes about 10 minutes and sits somewhere between journal prompt and ritual.
Created for the 48-Word RPG Jam 2026. Complete game text follows.

The Eternal Garden
You tend the infinite garden at the end of Time, where flowers contain Universes.
You have six seeds. Name them.
Each cycle, roll 1d6:
- 1–3: Blight. Lose a seed. Describe what's lost.
- 4–6: Growth. Plant a seed. Describe what blooms.
With your last seed, become soil.

so simple and so good!
Can't wait to play! Beautiful concept and art, as always :)
Thank you. It was tough to fit a game into the word limit! I hope you enjoy it.
This is so so so lovely, thank you!
Thank you. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the game. 🌱
Had a great time playing this today! Planted three of my six seeds in the garden and reflected on what bloomed and what blighted.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I played around with the seed count and the probabilities for a while, but it sounds like it worked out just right for your playthrough.
Beautiful
Thank you. I appreciate it!
This is really really beautiful. Love the idea of building a garden.
Thanks so much. I’m really glad the idea resonated with you. 🙏
Wtf is this. I don't get it. I don't understand. Anyone please explain.
A solo tabletop roleplaying game. Not sure I understand your question...
Thanks for the comment. This is a very minimal solo journaling game made for a 48-word game jam. It’s not for everyone, but I appreciate you taking a look.
It's a solo TTRPG, focused on journaling and imagination. It's ok if it's not your thing.
