Last Tea Shop update and a microgame

Last Tea Shop
I’ve been busy with a few projects and wanted to share some updates. First, I’ve made an update to Last Tea Shop Expanded Edition, improving both its readability and mechanics. Here’s what’s new:
- Many layout adjustments. All pages are now left-aligned, and section names have been added to page titles for easier navigation. Various typos and grammatical issues fixed. There are new front and back covers.
- The method for rolling locations has been updated—players now roll 2d6, assigning one die to the place group and the other to the specific place. Rolling doubles results in gathering two local ingredients instead of choosing between locations.
- The Setting Up section now follows a new sequence so tea rules can be grouped together: Location → Supplies → Recipes → Affinities.
- A slight expansion to foraging for local ingredients involving weather and creatures.
- Added dashed arrows to the Dice Trail | Lantern Path to reinforce how visitors influence Switch Path effects.
- Emphasised the “How did you know my last customer?” question in the tea ritual—it’s the heart of the game, but sometimes gets overlooked.
- A few new entries in the Relationship prompt list.
- Brief notes in the Acknowledgements on the TTRPGs that influenced Last Tea Shop.
This update is the result of listening to a few actual plays and hearing places where the rules were unclear. If you already own the expanded edition, you can download the updated version now! I hope to make a few tweaks to the stall sheet soon.
Your Lantern Burns with Borrowed Light
A few months ago, I created a new microgame for the 36-word RPG Jam.: Your Lantern Burns with Borrowed Light. This minimalist RPG explores memory, sacrifice, and the struggle to hold back the dark. Players offer memories, dreams, and regrets to their lantern, hoping to keep it lit—because without light, they will be lost.
This was an attempt to create a procedural story engine with narrative choice and a clear end state in just 36 words (including the title).
Designed for solo play but open to group storytelling, this game was inspired by Mechanical Oryx, a 200-word RPG, and features art by the amazing @Sisaliks. You can download it here..
More updates coming soon—including a glimpse at something new I’ve been working on.
